Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meter event at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium throughout her competitions at the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
